Lightnin' Hopkins is one of my favorite blues musicians. His music is powerful in a way that so much of the music today is not. He sang from the heart with pure rhythm and soul. He was effortlessly cool. He was an amazing guitarist. The list goes on and on. Listening to his music, you get a sense that this guy has been through it, he knows.
